Happy Easter

I thought since I'm on holiday i would update my blog with some cards that I've made recently.

These 3 photo's are of cards that I made at my friend Becky Wall's class.
(i'll have to update what stamp sets we're used later on, as I havent got my catalogue on me to look them up)

Childrens Card and A simple easy Card

Last night was my largest class yet! I had 7 ladies in my kitchen making 4 cards. We had a fantastic time and i thought i would share a bit about 2 of the cards. These 2 card ideas were taken from some Swaps i received.

For those of you that don’t know card swaps are something us demonstrators do when we get together and involves making a card, scrapbook page or 3D item using Stampin Up supplies only. It is a really fun

way to go with 20+ cards all the same and come home with 20+ different cards and boxes etc and give you lots of ideas but also can be used to show customers at workshops.

This is a Childrens card that i made using the base idea from another demonstrator and adapted it to the stampsets I own. Its a great fun, interactive card, perfect for a childs birthday. Its made using a retired stampset and involved colouring (which was also great fun!)

This next card is a great example of being resourceful if you're on more of a tight budget or if you just like the stamps on a wheel but dont like the idea of a wheel! My friend Becky Wall told me about this little trick.

The stamp set comes on a wheel and looks like this

The pattern on the wheel is a set of 8 cups (see below)

So to make 8 Stamps out of a £5.95 wheel you just cut them up!

This card that i made uses a 6X6 base and 2 small pieces of Very Vanilla and Crumb cake. It was coloured in using 2 marker pens and a touch of Early Espresso DSP! I added a bit of extra decoration using the stamp set 'Confetti' which works amazingly to decorate backgrounds (I also used it on the childrens card above)

My Sale items page is now up and running!

Please feel free to take a look and message me if you would like to take advantage of the great sales!

I will be posting paper packs and Stampin Up card kit packs in the next couple weeks, so keep your eyes open for even more exciting offers.

I also have a number of Non Stampin Up products im looking to sell as I no longer use them. These will be posted on a separate page to the Stampin Up sale and will become available within a month (working full time and being pregnant is slowing down my blog speed!)

All the best

New Life

Most people who see my blog will have already heard my exciting news, but for those of you who havent, Im PREGNANT!

Its all so so exciting. My husband Jimmy and I are thrilled, we cant wait for our first baby to arrive in September.

It was such a magical moment the other week when we got to see the baby for the first time on the scan. I had started to believe that maybe I just had Glandular fever (Mono) as i didnt get any morning sickness. I was unbelievably shattered for the first 3 months, a crazy kind of tired that i cant even explain, but i was never sick. I guess i was half expecting the midwife to tell me it was all in my head and the pregnancy tests that were positive were just an illusion, but it wasnt! I burst into tears when the midwife ran the scanner thingy over my belly and i saw the baby! Its really in there!

Its been 3 weeks since that scan, and im growing fast! My clothes are all quite tight and if im not careful with what shirts i wear i can sometime end up showing off my new belly! I still cant believe we've made a baby and how amazingly creative God is to have made something so intricate, so fast! Im very grateful to the NHS who send me weekly updates on my baby's growth. Its so fascinating.

I plan to cary on crafting throughout the pregnancy, and after the baby is born, I might just need to adjust my timings slightly.

lots of love

Mothers Day Card

Well I finally did it! About a week late, but I created my mother in laws card (hope she forgives my massive lateness!)

I made this card A5 size and used retired 'Orchard Harvest' DSP (one of my favourites!) I added some of the free Sale-abration ribbon i got and cut out the letters using the 'Typeset Alphabet Bigz'. And of course since its mothers day i had to add a bit of bling! If you look close enough you can see that i added some 'Crystal Effects' to make the acorns pop.

Now to think of a card idea for my mom! Mothers day is coming up in about a month and a half in Canada

I love Stampin Up because there is no pressure! You can join my team and see how you like it. When you buy the starter kit, there is no obligation to stick or force to buy more. The starter kit is full of your choice! But the starter kit now is all your choice!!! You get £162.50 to spend on what ever tools and stamps you want!

Have a look at the flyer and if you want a Catalogue I can pop one in the post to you

For now here are the freebies on offer!

Shoe Box Swap

This past weekend was great fun. I went to an event called a Shoe Box swap lead by a lady named Elaine Smith. It was great fun. The swap was held in a hall and everyone that signed up prepared a 'shoe box' containing everything needed to make a card of their own design. About 13 people attended and we all made 13 cards.

These 2 cards were my top 2 favourites! (when I get the chance i'll look up who designed them and put their name on here)

All our projects were made using Stampin up product. I will show you more of the cards that I got to make tomorrow.

Next weeks Class!

Hi everyone,
Well next Monday we will be doing 2 fun projects at my class.
Nearly all projects that we make in my classes allow for you to chose the colours of card and patterned paper as well as any sentiment/greeting of your choice.

We still have spaces so feel free to sign up under the classes section

This card is a full sized card, perfect for birthday, wedding or even Mothers day!(if you're a bit late)

We will make one of these boxes in a colour of your choice

You will also make 4 cards which will fit in the box with envelopes, with room for you to add a little something extra if you chose the box to be a gift. (My samples dont yet have sentiments on them)
