Pin Boards

I thought I would post some better lighted pictures of the pin boards we'll be making on the 20th of May. I had 3 wonderful ladies come to my class on Friday and when I showed them the pin boards in the flesh they let me know that my first lot of photo's weren't that great.
Here they are again taken in better light.

They are 12 x 12'' and are made on 2 sheets of 1.5mm chip board.

These pin boards are great for many uses or as a gift for someones birthday.
Here are some examples

Scrapbook Album

While on holiday i thought I would have a go with making an album from scratch. I found a great Youtube video that gave me some tips on binding an album.

I used recycled chipboard card that i got with some paper from SU. I then used a sheet of Natural Composition Specialty for the binding as its really nice and strong but also more flexible than just a sheet of chipboard.

Here is my first go!
I used retired DSP (Designer Series Paper) just incase it all went wrong, and here is my end result:

Because my first album worked out so well i thought i would have a go with making a proper one.
By the next album I had run out of chipboard, but after many hours of googling (im not very good at it!) I managed to find this web site
They sell chipboard (aka Greyboard) for a really great price and had very fast delivery!

This album took me nearly 5 hours to make and decorate and i still have more to do. Im hoping to add a few more details on some of the pages and would love to decorate the front and back and add some kind go closure clasp on it.

Any suggestions for things to add would be happily excepted!

I used the chipboard for the front and back pages and Crumb Cake card stock for the inner pages and binding so that my book wasnt too heavy and weight but was flexible. Then I used my favorite pack of paper at the moment, Fan Fair. Let me know what you think

20th May Class

Well in hopes of having a bit of fun and expanding my creativity I have decided that for the 20th May class we will make a chipboard pin board!

The class will take the same amount of time as a normal class (I made 3 samples and it took me about 45-1hr each, meaning it will take 1.5-2 hours of class time) and will be the same prices as stated in my class bookings.

Each pin board is about 12"x12" and can be used to hold photos or other light things. (I will try to fill one and post a photo to give you an idea)

The pin board project will be great as a gift for someone or for your own home decoration!

Here are some photos of the three I made. Don't forget, you will get to choose what paper and ribbon you would like to use to make it personal to you! I can only take seven people so if you would like to come make sure you book sooner rather than later :)
