Journal Tutorial

Hi everyone,
Well since doing an inspiration station at my latest Stampin Up training, ive been asked by quite a few people for a tutorial of my home made journals using recycled packing paper.

(Here it is with the closure)

(Here it is without the closure)

As im not very technical ive had to create a PDF and post a link rather than posting the tutorial on my blog directly. I really hope you enjoy it and find it useful, any feed back would be hugely appreciated as this is my first ever tutorial. It took me 3 hours to put together(Adding watermarks took ages!)

If you would like to view my tutorial please click here.

All the best,
Happy crafting

Recipe Folders

This week has been a fun week of making these recipe holders. I found the measurements and instructions from this website
I modified the design slightly by adding some magnetic clips instead of the velcro which i found ripped my card stock.

Here are the 4 I made in order of my experiments, enjoy!

I made the light blue one first and havent yet made it latch shut

This one took me 20-30mins longer to make as i used some magnetic clips to seal it together

I avoided using DSP on this one as i love the card stock, however it has made it less pretty, but a few embellishments should cover up the imperfections nicely

Friday's Class

As promised here is a picture of the first card we'll be making on Friday. The other 2 will follow (need to make them)

This is a card that a lovely lady named Sue Hall created. I thought it was so beautiful i just had to share it in a class.

This card is made using my brand new stamp, 'Swallowtail'. Dont be fooled by the photo, the stamp is really large and the card is roughly A5 size.

The option will be to make your card in either Basic Gray or Mellon Mambo

Creative Challange

On Sunday my team leader Michelle challenged us to a 45 minute card making session. We had to make at least one card with the supplies provided in the time allocated. It was great fun and lovely to be challenged to be creative.

Here are my final products (1.5 cards)

Hope to see you Friday!

Inspiration station

Yesterday was a great day! I had my Stampin Up team training day and hosted an inspiration station.

My table was based on chipboard and upcycling house hold chipboard.

Waste not Want not

These are some journals i made by recycling the packing paper received with my Stampin Up and Amazon orders.

Here are some recycled toilet rolls made into mini albums. I found this great idea by fluke while looking for inspiration on You tube!

I used the lovely Natural Composition Specialty card and the Blossom punch as the end binding

I made these little shopping pads as my swaps from scratch (made 30 of them!)

These are A6 journals hand made from scratch that i will be taking to a craft show on Sunday to sell

I made these little brag book kits using the Top Notes die and some book rings

Ceral boxes are great for making albums! They are a brilliant thickness for pages. The album on the right is the raw version(what it looks like under all the lovely paper and embellishments) and the sad looking stack of card to the left of it is the album when its covered in paper (sadly ran out of time to assemble it, so will post another photo in the future when its complete)

Another album i made using a 6X6 piece of chipboard and covering it in the lovely new Etcetra paper

Its been a while since I've blogged, sorry. Im quite pants at it, and this pregnancy has been taking all my spare energy. Anyways, here we go!

I thought i would share a quick photo of my stall at an NTC sale with my friend Karen last month.

We had a great time, though sadly didnt sell much at all. I dont think a nearly new sale is the place to sell craft projects as everyone goes there for a deal on childrens things, but hey ho, we had a good time!
